Allergy Testing - Accurate & Affordable
The allergy diagnostic method at our Christchurch clinic is called EAP or electro-acupuncture testing using a Bicom bioresonance machine to identify which substances are causing a strain on your body or allergic reaction. This allergy testing method and technology has been widely used in Europe for the past 25 years by both GPs and Naturopaths and was originally pioneered in Germany by Dr Reinhold Voll. (It is also know as "EAV testing" or "electro-acupuncture according to Voll").
Our Allergy Testing: non-invasive & results in 24 hours
We Test For Most Common Allergens
Over 100 of the most common allergy foods and substances are tested. However, specific suspect substances can be included in the testing process, making it highly specific for each client (i.e. local pollens, animal hair, house dust, household or industrial chemicals). Your results are rated for their degree of intolerance.
Your Allergy Test Results are delivered within 24 hours!
As you are tested for allergies and food intolerances during your first consultation, allergens will be identified there and then. However, the complete results will be emailed to you or your practitioner the very next day.
No more waiting for weeks for results to be sent to you from Australia or Germany or the USA as you can do for hair analysis or blood-spot testing!
Electro-acupuncture Testing - No Needles!
Testing is done using an electro-acupuncture probe at an acupuncture point on the hands . First a basic reading from an acupuncture point on the hands is established. Next, one of the suspected stressing substances is put in the circuit and its measurement compared with the basic reading. If the reading rises with the substance in the circuit, then it causes a strain on the body. As we use inverse oscillations (or mirror images) of the potentially allergic substances, the results are shown by destressing the body rather than subjecting it to further stress.
Is It Accurate?
EAP testing has been put to the test against the standard diagnostic methods (intra-dermal allergy skin testing, allergy history analysis, food rechallenge testing, RAST, and serum IGE).
EAP testing results were the most effective and accurate, alongside food rechallenge testing (the gold standard in conventional testing) (1).
