Desensitisation of Food Intolerances
At our Christchurch clinic we may actually be able to help to desensitize you to the substances that cause you problems.
We use Bicom Optima bioresonance therapy, which has been used effectively in Europe and Asia for more than 25 years by both GP's and Naturopath's. This therapy is targeted at reducing the response within the body to the substance that is causing your problems. Learn more about bioresonance therapy.
This desensitisation programme usually only requires 2-4 sessions per substance and up to 2-3 substances can be included in each session.
Every appointment is finished with a short programme supporting the elimination organs. The whole process is painless, not harmful, and non-invasive. Is it Effective? Read the Clinical Studies Here.
Things You Will Need To Do
During the therapy phase you will need to avoid contact with the substances you are be desensitised for. In some cases this may be difficult, for instance, if you have a problem with pollen. Foods you react to will also have to disappear from your diet for the time being.
This can be a bit daunting when it concerns foods such as wheat and dairy products. The more effort you make to stay away from the offending substances the better the final result. We will help you with handouts listing alternative foods and advice.
Once you have finished the desensitisation programme, we recommend that you stay off these foods for 4-6 months to allow time for the gut to fully heal before introducing small amounts back into your diet.
Other Things To Consider In This Process
When working with the neutralisation of intolerances, it is also important to consider the health of the gastrointestinal tract and digestive function. There are many contributing factors to poor gut health. These include nutritional deficiencies (esp. zinc), poor digestive function, leaky gut, inflammatory bowel disease, candidiasis (a yeast infection), chronic stress, a diet high in refined sugars, pharmaceuticals, and excess consumption of alcohol and coffee.
Intolerances can be reduced by addressing the toxic load of the body, thus reducing immune system deregulation. Toxic substances stress the immune system so that it becomes over-sensitive to harmless substances. These toxins can include heavy metals, petrochemicals, pesticides and herbicides, moulds and fungi, parasites, viruses and bacteria. Working with the removal of these toxins helps to unburden the immune system so that it is able to self-regulate and begin the healing process.
